2017 Real Estate Taxes

  • Please make checks payable to: Town of Dover
  • If paying with cash the exact amount is required
  • The appropriate stub must be included with the payment
  • If paying by credit card Visa, Master Card, or Discover, the credit card company will charge a service fee
  • Tax payments can be made:
    • at the Town Hall Monday through Thursday 8a-4:30p and Friday 8a-12noon with the exception of the following dates as the office will be closed:
    • Monday, December 25, 2017
    • January 1, 2018
    • Saturdays and Sundays
    • on line at www.townofdoverwi.com
  • All checks that are to be credited in 2017, must be dated and post marked by Saturday, December 30, 2017
  • You may choose to make a full payment or two installment payments:
    • Full payments are due by Wednesday, January 31, 2018
    • The first installment payment will be due to the Town of Dover Treasurer by Wednesday, January 31, 2018
    • The second installment payment will be due to the Racine County Treasurer 730 Wisconsin Avenue Racine, WI 53403 by Tuesday, July 31, 2018 (Not Accepted at the Dover Town Hall)
  • Payments will be credited on the date received. Should questions of delinquency arise; the date of the postmark by the U.S. Postal Service will be deemed final
  • Receipts by mail:Include a self addressed, stamped, business size envelope with your payment and remittance stub
  • Escrow checks:
    • Please remember to endorse escrow checks with all signatures required
  • Wisconsin State Law requires that tax bills be mailed to the property owner. Tax bills cannot be mailed to lending institutions.  It is the home/property owners responsibility to get the information to their lender
  • If a refund is due, it will be mailed within ten business days

                                                                       

2017 Personal Property Taxes

  • All personal property taxes are due IN FULL to the Town of Dover on or before January 31, 2018
  • Wisconsin State law requires that interest and penalties of 1.5% per month or a fraction thereof be charged after the due date
