Eagle Lake Sewer Overflow 4/18/2026

The Eagle Lake Sewer Utility District had a sanitary sewer overflow on 4/18/2026 at 12:00 am through 4:30 am. The combination of heavy rains, the power outage and the failure of one of our new generators, caused the system to back up. The power was restored quickly, but once the pumps fall behind, it is hard for them to catch back up. The overflow occurred from a manhole #44 on Wildflower Lane. A total of 54,000 gallons of highly diluted wastewater was discharged into a ditch flowing to Eagle Lake. This is a very small amount of water but it is important for everyone to know. This will not cause any harmful effect to Eagle Lake and it’s residents. The DNR has been contacted and all required forms and notifications have been completed. If you have any concerns or questions call the treatment facility at (262)534-5910.
